Bandaara Kilhi is being taken over by a non-native invasive species of water lily. If no action is taken, the whole kilhi ecosystem will be destroyed and kilhi as we know it would become a thing of the past.
We have started a program together with Fuvahmulah Nature Park to remove this invasive plant. Our volunteers together with WAMCO, City Council, Fuvahmulah Police and MNDF are conducting regular clean-up sessions.
